Just thinking about it is rough. Where do you start? You can price it for the parts invested but you can’t add your time (labor) into it as it’s a “hobby”.
When or If you get over that do you price it at “market”?
That can’t happen.
We’re talking about a machine that lasted through 20 years of abuse and was easily restored for another 20 years of excitement. Very few Quads are ever going to be looked back on as lovingly these little monsters are. Maybe the Banshee. Maybe.
Nope. This sucker just became a “trailer” queen.
That’s the ticket! Here in the Midwest ATVs can enter some Tractor shows and Bike shows. A full and true restoration starts after the first snowfall!

I do still want a Banshee, they ruled Waynoka when I was little... but I need to get the LT250R put back together first.

I’ll have a Banshee too. Im waiting for a basket case. I love the whole idea behind a 350cc 2 stroke twin. Raptor 700? Pshaw! Might as well have a Jeep.

Yep, the 660 and 700 Raptors killed the diversity of quads. The 300/400EX, Banshees, and Quadzillas practically disappeared overnight.

There are still a few Quadzillas out here. The 400ex seems to be the most popular. There had to be 6 of them out on Sunday.
I don’t get the 500+ machines. I can run the trails just as fast as them on my 350 and 200. The biggest gap I see is in straight up hill climbs. They’re longer and wider so they can tackle that stuff safer than I can. I can do it but I’m so far up over the bars I’ve started sliding back spitting dirt. Those guys can do it still on the seat!

Yep, the 450s are usually the fastest on track, but they’re race derived anyway. I still have a blast on my 300EX even if it’s comparatively slow.

I havent seen a 450 yet. My 350 is running about 4-6 hp less than a 400 and I have a slight weight advantage. I feel the need to do the 500 big bore on this thing growing quickly. Being air/oil cooled only I have concerns though.
